Sophomore Elizabeth Morneault of Winterville originally had the idea. She said, "Well I was watching football last weekend and all the pro teams were supporting breast cancer, and I thought it was so cool how all these people could come together in support of breast cancer, and right away I thought about how nice it would be for our team to do the same.

"I thought it would be a nice gesture to remember those who we all know that are or have suffered from breast cancer," said Morneault.

Some members of the team wore pink medical tape bracelets which displayed the name of a person they knew that has or had breast cancer. Other pink items that teammates wore were pink shoelaces and headbands sporting the breast cancer ribbon.
