The seventh annual derby once again has a record number of registrants, with 593 participants trying their luck on any of seven lakes to win their part of a $10,000 purse.
As of 3 p.m., the standings are as follows:
In the youth division, Billy Blanchette has the largest salmon at 4 pounds and 8.2 ounces.
Isiah Sypien has the largest brook trout at 1 pound and 1.2 ounces.
Jake Hebert is currently in first place for the togue category with his whopper of a fish, weighing in at 6 pounds, 13.8 ounces.
In the adult division, Tom Rouse has hooked a 5 pound, one ounce salmon capturing the current lead in the category.
Theodore Laque has the largest brook trout so far, a 2 pound and 9 ounce fish.
Steve Bossie's 11 pound, 12.4 ounce togue is almost the largest fish of the entire tournament so far, even beating out Krista Albert's 9 pound and 15.3 ounce Muskie. Bossie and Albert are the current leaders in their respective categories, but neither one of those impressive catches can compare to the Steve Raymond's cusk.
In the cusk category, Raymond currently holds all three positions with a 12 pound, 2.8 ounce catch placing the current bar.
Camden Huck is on his way to earning the 'booby prize' with 55 perch by 3 p.m.
The scales are still open for a couple of more hours, closing at 5:30. At this point, anything can happen.
