Market Street blocked since Tuesday

FORT KENT - People driving into town from the east, or trying to leave town along Market Street are finding their way blocked by numerous detour signs and large construction equipment.

Construction workers are replacing a large culvert just north of John's Shurfine.  They should finish the repairs soon.

The detour from 161 reroutes vehicles across the bridge to Pleasant Street and then east on Main Street.  Vehicles coming from Frenchville Road must travel down Main Street to Pleasant, and cross the bridge.
