Madawaska alumnus new branch manager of St. Francis Acadia FCU branch

ST. FRANCIS - Acadia Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that Shawn Parker has assumed the position of Branch Manager at their St. Francis branch location.

As Branch manager, Shawn will be responsible for and oversee all operations of the branch office. In addition, he will be charged with developing the branch's consumer lending department. Since joining the Acadia FCU team last summer, Shawn has served as a teller at the Fort Kent branch. He has proved to be an asset to the Acadia team by proactively seeking out and completing training courses to expand his knowledge base.

Shawn expressed extreme enthusiasm when asked about his new role, "I look forward to the challenge of developing the St. Francis branch to better serve the members of the community. The learning experience alone is something that I am truly excited about and I plan to use that excitement as a foundation to boost productivity and membership."

Dave Desjardins commented, "Shawn's positive outlook is infectious and as he assumes his new role as Branch Manager, I anticipate a busy and bustling branch serving members with a full range of products and services."

Parker is a 2009 graduate from Madawaska High School and is currently pursuing his bachelor's degree in business at the University of Maine at Fort Kent. While focusing on a future in finance, Shawn's personal career goals appear to directly align with the mission of Acadia FCU, which undoubtedly creates an optimistic outlook for the future of Acadia's St. Francis branch.
