Learn to repair and maintain computers

ST. JOHN VALLEY - The St. John Valley Adult and Community Education Collaborative (MSAD #27, the Madawaska School Department, and MSAD #33) will offer a 60-hour Adult Vocational Education training program in Computer Maintenance and Repair during Winter/Spring semester, 2010.

The St. John Valley Technology Center in Frenchville will host the program. Course instructor Vince Sirois will hold classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-9 p.m., beginning January 19 and concluding on April13.

Each three-hour class session will cover content for one hour and focus on hands-on applications for two hours. Learners will exercise options for their hands-on learning, including building, upgrading, and maintaining their own PC's. Hands-on trouble-shooting also will be part of the program.

Individuals interested in enrolling in this training program should either call 834-3536 or stop by the MSAD 27 Adult and Community center located at Community High School in Fort Kent or call 728-6314 or stop by the Madawaska/MSAD 33 Adult and Community Education office located at Madawaska Middle/High School. Registration deadline is Friday, January 14 at 12 noon.
