"It was a school project to raise money for SkillsUSA," said Mark Gandalfo who was in charge of the construction of the cabin.
Construction trades instructor Charles Collin said the funds the students raise from the raffle are used to help supplement the cost to students to pay for their trip to compete in SkillsUSA, a nationwide workforce skills competition.
"It's something we do on a yearly basis," said Collin.
The raffle tickets are on sale during the Long Lake Ice-Fishing Derby. Persons interested in purchasing a ticket can buy them at the Long Lake Sporting Club the remainder of today and tomorrow.

Organizing a fundraiser for students who want to go on a great trip and are able to use common sense is important and donating is even more important for those who can afford it.
