FUTURE LOOKS DARK FOR INTERNATIONAL BRIDGE - Beginning at midnight on Tuesday evening, trucks with a weight larger than three tons started traveling to Madawaska in order to bypass the deteriorating bridge in Fort Kent.  The Maine Department of Transportation posted the weight limit when bridge inspectors discovered the 80-year old structure had deteriorated further.  Canada, which bears the responsibility of replacing the bridge, has not set a date for construction since their most recent election. - Birden photo
