This will be the fifth game of the season for the Warriors, coached by Tim Desjardin.

So far, the team is undefeated.

On August 18, Fort Kent beat Van Buren 3-0.  A week later, on August 24, the team tied Presque Isle 2-2.

Three days after the Presque Isle game, the Warriors faced off with Houlton, taking the win with a score of 3-2.

On Monday the team hosted the Caribou High School, maintaining a tie game of 1-1.

Coach Desjardin noted that the Caribou and Presque Isle schools are much larger than CHS.  He said, "Class B schools are always a big hurdle to get by."  He said the Presque Isle game was the closest Fort Kent has come to a win against the larger school in ten years.

He said, "This tie was a good thing for this team."

In his seventh year as the varsity coach, Desjardin said the skill level of his current team is good and he also spoke positively about the level of experience this year.  He pointed out the young men work together and they pass the ball often.  He said, "We like to play as a team."

The team captains are Jared Soucy, Tom Levesque and Dante Naranja.

Desjardin said, "It's a good mix of young talent.  A good group of young men.  Pleasant to coach."
