The junior varsity was not as fortunate, however, losing their match-up against Houlton with a final score of 27-64.

Less than 30 seconds into the first period of the varsity game, referees called a foul, with senior Tom Enerva shooting. Foul shots remained common throughout the night.

The crowd was active, shouting constantly for their team with chants such as, "Defense!"

The game was a virtual tug-of-war, with the lead switching back and forth between Houlton and the Warriors.

In the end, Fort Kent pulled through with a two-point victory. The final score was 57-55. High scorers for the night were Curtis Bouchard with 20 points and Charlie Nadeau with 19 points.

Enerva said, "We played smart but need to watch our fouls. We stayed calm under crucial minutes of the game."

The next boy's home game is Dec. 27 against Fort Fairfield at 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
