Donate a pint for a pound, UMFK hosts blood drive

FORT KENT - The University of Maine at Fort Kent will host an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, Jan. 31 from noon to 5 p.m. in the Fox Auditorium.

The blood drive is co-sponsored by UMFK's Kappa Rho and Student Nurses' Organization. A table will be set-up for individuals to make an appointment in Cyr Hall until Friday, January 27 or you may contact the American Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767 to schedule an appointment.

During the month of January, if you donate a pint of blood you will receive a pound of Dunkin´ Donuts coffee for free.

According to the American Red Cross, "Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. In fact, 44,000 units of blood are needed every day to meet these needs. Donate blood or sponsor a blood drive this winter."
