Having to travel for the second game in a row, the Warriors were just coming off a close win against the Van Buren Crusaders as they faced Madawaska.

Fans packed the bleachers as both teams readied to play, but it was Fort Kent who brought their A-game.

Within minutes of tip-off, the Warriors had a solid 10-0 lead, but the Owls did not let up. They fought hard, but were unable to close the gap, remaining, at closest, five points behind the Warriors.

The Warriors did not look back after the half. Finishing the game with an ending score of 59-37, CHS improved their record to 2-0.

Thomas Enerva led the way to victory with 22 points and Curtis Bouchard was the second leading scorer in the game, scoring 16 points for CHS. Cody Plourde scored nine points and Charlie Nadeau, who shot the first points for the team in the game, finished with eight. Phillip Pabellon earned four points.

Matt Dechenes led the owls with 12 points.

The Warriors faced Houlton at home on Friday night.
