Both UMFK soccer teams remain undefeated as season draws near a close
FORT KENT – The University of Maine at Fort Kent women's soccer team defeated Ohio Midwestern 2-1 Tuesday, Oct. 9, to complete a three game road trip through Maryland, West Virginia and Ohio winning all three matches. The Lady Bengals, the top ranked team in the USCAA, improved to 13-0 with the win. They have two more games remaining in their regular season - October 20 at the University of Maine in Presque Isle and October 24 at the University of Maine in Machias.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent’s men's soccer team shutout host Brescia University 3-0 in Owensboro, Kentucky Wednesday evening, Oct. 10, to stay perfect on the year at 13-0. The Bengals will play next in Amherst, New York outside Buffalo when they visit Daemen College Friday at 2:45 p.m. UMFK will wrap up their six game road trip when they play Bryant and Stratton in Syracuse, New York on Saturday at noon.
