8 February 2013
FORT KENT – The Fort Kent Police Department charged Glen Marquis, 41, of St. John Road, Fort Kent with Operating Under the Influence after an incident in which his vehicle left the road on Route 1 and struck a tree, said Fort Kent Police Chief Kenneth Michaud. The accident caused approximately $9000 worth of damage to his vehicle.
Marquis was westbound on the Frenchville Road in a 2011 Ford pickup on Feb. 6 at approximately 11 p.m. Michaud said Marquis met a vehicle traveling eastbound that was attempting to pass another approaching vehicle, which subsequently forced him off the road.
Fort Kent Police Officer Chuck Richard investigated and determined that Marquis was driving while impaired.
Marquis sustained minor facial injuries, said Michaud. Twin's Service Station towed the vehicle.- Login or register to post comments
