Fire department cleans another chimney after fire during a "typical" season
30 January 2013
FORT KENT – The Fort Kent Fire Department responded to another chimney fire last night, this time on Ramsey Road, off of Strip Road in Fort Kent, at the home of Kevin Voisine.
“There was no damage to the house,” said Fort Kent Fire Chief Ed Endee. “No one was hurt.”
The Fire Department received the call at about 6:40 p.m. Approximately 12 firefighters responded, along with one fire truck and the rescue truck. The firefighters cleared the scene about 45 minutes later.
Endee said they extinguished the fire and cleaned the chimney.
“We're having a typical chimney fire season,” said Fort Kent Fire Chief Ed Endee. “The numbers are about average.”
