Big prize for a young girl
30 January 2013
LUCKY GIRL LANDS THE BIG ONE - One lucky participant in the 8th Annual Long Lake Ice Fishing Derby walked away with a very big catch. Organizers picked 11-year-old Maren Moir, a sixth grader at the Woodland School from the over 1,600 tickets sold for the Ultimate Ice Fishing Package giveaway. The package, donated by Quiqley’s Outdoors and their vendors, included over $2,500 in merchandise including a propane auger, underwater camera, tote sled and other gear. In addition, the package included a weekend stay at KLC Rentals on Long Lake in St. David. Pictured is Paul Bernier, left, presenting the package to Moir. Moir is the daughter of Jason and Kristie Moir of Woodland. – Contributed image
