Farm stand collision

FARM STAND COLLISION – A local farm stand on East Main Street in Fort Kent has a hole in its side, but withstood the force of impact from a car colliding with one of its walls Friday. On Jan. 4 around 3 p.m., Maxwell Tetrashune, 24, of Fort Kent attempted to take a right into the parking area behind the farm stand. According to Police Chief Kenneth Michaud, Tetrashune was going a little too fast and was unable to make it into the driveway. Tetrashune's car skidded through a snow bank before striking the farm stand, which Rino Chasse typically operates during fresh produce season. According to Michaud, the car sustained $1,200 in damage and the farm stand sustained about $250 in damage. No charges were filed, according to Michaud. - Jenna Beaulieu image
